Meet our Staff
Prior to joining the Foundation, Steve served as COO and assistant to Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson of the Virginia Conference (VAUMC). Before being called to the ministry, Steve was vice president, CEO and co-owner of a commercial leasing and equipment business in Chesapeake, Va.
Courtney organizes and manages the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and Development Company. As VP of Operations, she’s responsible for interactions with clients and servicing of their accounts.
As Vice President of Investments and Lending, Chris oversees the strategic direction and management of our investment portfolio and develops investment strategies and loan policies to support the mission of the Foundation.
Matthew is charged with offering UMC members in the Virginia Conference opportunities for charitable and legacy contributions. The primary purpose is to expand our grants program to local churches and ministries.
Melissa is responsible for the external presentation of the Foundation, social media and digital communications with our churches and clients. She also creates print pieces about our products and services and serves as grants liaison.
As our Client Services Representative, Janice assists clients with requests and questions about their accounts for both the Foundation and Development Company. Her goal is to provide a quality experience for both the churches and individual investors.
As Foundation Services Advisor to the Northern Virginia region, Brad provides consultation to churches regarding investments, planned giving, and a variety of other services to assist in mission growth.
