A strong and vital Foundation grows from our mission and our vision of the future in how we will serve the churches, entities and donors of the Virginia Annual Conference. Our mission gives us purpose. It is the expression of the ideals for which we all work. As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
The Virginia United Methodist Foundation exists to serve local churches and Conference agencies in their efforts to expand their programs and ministries through effective stewardship of investments and endowment funds, planned giving and church extension loans. As such, the Foundation seeks to be in compliance with the Socially Responsible Investing principles of the United Methodist Book of Discipline.
