Sound Footings – Fall 2020

We at the Foundation always look forward to meeting people, experiencing the various missions of each church, and seeing the spaces where parishioners meet. Sometimes we review the plans for updating sanctuaries, or even for transforming buildings into something entirely new. It’s a lot of fun! I’m sure you will agree that Zoom doesn’t have quite the same appeal, and yet as I concluded another Zoom meeting this morning, I was very thankful that we could connect with each other visually and to hear each other’s voices. I’m really not sure what we do without such technological means these days.
Our staff isn’t seeing quite as much of each other, either. We’re working a split schedule from the office and home so that we have about half of our staff in the office at one time, just to make social distancing a little easier. We’re trying hard to be as responsive as always, so please continue to let us know when you need our assistance.
Slowly things are beginning to recover, although we know it will take time. In this newsletter, I hope you’ll read about the good things that continue to happen in the Church with God’s guidance. We were very happy to work with Old Bridge UMC, a new relationship for us. And we’re opening our grants applications soon, too. We’d love to hear from you on new endeavors your church is undertaking!
Out in the distance I can see the time when we will be back on the trail, meeting with all of you. It isn’t quite in focus yet, but we’re going to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and day-by-day, we’ll draw a little closer.
Sincerely,
Bo Bowden, President
