2024 VAUMF Grant Awards
Each year, the Foundation awards a limited number of grants to Virginia Methodist Churches and affiliated agencies of the Virginia United Methodist Conference. Our focus is on unifying mission, ministry and impact to better assist and equip ministries in their projects, as well as help them to build a future.
At year end, the grants committee of the Foundation Board of Directors awards ministries from across the Conference. Grants are given from three funds: Foundation Grants Fund, Dr. William J. and Frances Hanna Memorial Grant, and Micah 6:8/No Harm Do Good Endowment Grant
This year we had a record number of applications and are pleased to announce that the 2024 Foundation grants have been awarded to 21 ministries across all districts. Based on the recommendation of the grants committee to the Foundation board, the total amount awarded was $64,875. Since 2015, the Foundation has given a total of more than $450,000 in grant funds.
