CEU Credits for the 2023 Fox Faith & Science Symposium
The Fox Faith & Science Symposium on “God on the Brain” on September 23, 2023 from 9:00
a.m. – 3:00 P.M., will offer 0.5 C.E.U.’s for all who attend online and in person.
To receive an additional 0.5 C.E.U.’s (to make 1 C.E.U. total), clergy can read one of the
required books below and fill out the C.E.U. equivalency jotform by noon on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, which can be found here.
Required Reading to Receive C.E.U.’s;
Neurotheology: How Science Can Enlighten Us About Spirituality
How God Changes Your Brain: Breakthrough Findings from a Leading Neuroscientist
The Varieties of Spiritual Experience: 21st Century Research and Perspectives
How to Fill out the Online Jotform
When filling out the online jotform, choose the option: “Other” and in the other field type “Fox
Faith and Science Symposium 2023.”
For sponsoring organization choose: “The Virginia United Methodist Foundation.”
For the section that asks you to attach a brochure, agenda, or the web address where the
information about your event can be found, you will need to upload a 1-page pdf document in
12-point font, double-spaced, and answer the following questions:
1) How did your reading of the required materials inform your understanding of the
intersection of faith and science?
2) How will you apply what you have learned from this reading to your current ministry
setting?
3) What new connection or discovery did you encounter in the reading materials that will
help inform how you talk to others about faith and science?
For number of instructional contact hours type: “5.”
For number of hours of additional preparation work or course work (if applicable) type: the title
of the book that you read.
