Sound Footings – Winter 2020
On behalf of the Virginia United Methodist Foundation, we would like to thank all of our clients and affiliates for their continued confidence in us.
This year has been like none other. The world has faced an invisible threat that forced drastic actions most of us could never have contemplated. And yet we see how each of our church communities are adapting. We even see the possibility that the pandemic could give our denomination sufficient pause to discover new reasons to work together for our common good.
Our Board of Directors, Board of Managers and our staff are grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many people. As we look into 2021, we do envision getting back to business as usual, where we will again be able to meet with you, hopefully at Annual Conference.
The Foundation remains strong. Financial markets have largely recovered, but we know uncertainty remains and we continue to work closely with our advisors and partners. In 2021, we will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Foundation. You’ll be hearing more about this, and we hope to invite you to a celebration. You are all a part of this journey!
In this Christmas season, we want you to know how appreciative we are and that we don’t take your business for granted. We wish you all the best in the coming year. God’s peace be with you!
Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Sincerely,
Bo Bowden, President
