When Paul refers to Christ as “the image of the invisible God,” he is saying Jesus is completely and perfectly God. Paul is saying that Christ is God and is also perfectly human. (Colossians 1:15-17) Through Christ’s resurrection, He took the consequences of our sin and redeemed human nature. Because of Christ, we can be reconciled to God who reveals Himself through His Son. Those of us who believe in Jesus are saved because He is Emmanuel – God is with us!
I’m grateful that my life can be filled with love and direction because I believe in Jesus who is the son of God. Let’s praise God together because we can believe in God.
Colossians 1:15 – “The son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”
