Faith Makes Us Whole

Dwight Moody confessed once that he spent hours on his knees praying for faith. “Give me faith, O God, give me faith like the grain of a mustard seed, and I will move mountains.” The faith came another way. Once while he was praying in a period of depression, his eyes fell on the passage, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) He said he began to study his Bible, and the more he studied, the more faith became his possession. He learned that “the avenue to faith is through God’s Word found in the Bible.”
I challenge you today to do as Dwight Moody did, to study God’s Word. Open up the Bible and make it a part of your daily life. Spend time daily reading the Bible. Our bishop has laid out Bible readings so we can read the Bible in a year. Take the challenge! Read three or four chapters a day. If you miss, double up the next day! When life gets you down – READ THE BIBLE!
Matthew 9:22: “Thy faith hath made thee whole.”
